- Most meters cost either $1 or $1.50 per hour of parking on weekdays before 9 p.m. Make sure to verify the rates on the meter you're using.
- Metered spots are free after 9 p.m. Monday through Saturday and all day Sunday and holidays.
- Meters downtown and in Broad Ripple now accept credit cards.
- Meters accept payment for a maximum of two hours, but you are welcome to feed more change after your designated period expires. There's no penalty for staying in a spot all day, so no need to move your car to the next block.
- Plan ahead for covered meters. Before and during major events, some metered spaces will not be available for parking.
- Finally, make sure your tires are within one-foot of the curb. Our parking enforcement folks have been known to pull out measuring tape!
